Camp Info & Schedules
The Bulldog Swim Camps are for competitive swimmers of all levels. Ages 8 to 17 are eligible to register for camp. We ask that the younger campers be able to swim 1 length of each of the 4 competitive strokes (Fly, Back, Breast, Free).
Bulldog STROKE Camp
The five-day Bulldog Camp is designed to develop strong stroke fundamentals through expert instruction.
Campers train in two daily water sessions and attend one lecture per day. Each day focuses on one stroke to maximize learning and mastery.
Daily Format
Morning Session (9:00–11:00 AM – SCY): Stroke technique taught in stations: drills, film analysis, and turns.
Midday Lecture: Hear from Coach Jack Bauerle and UGA athletes about performance, motivation, and the Bulldog way.
Afternoon Session (3:00–4:30 PM – LCM): Workout-style training focusing on the stroke of the day. (Youngest swimmers remain SCY.)
Private Lessons (midday, extra cost): Optional, based on availability for swimmers 13 & under.
Starts & Turns Camp
This technical camp focuses exclusively on the skills that make swimmers fast off the blocks and efficient at the walls.
4 × 2-hour water sessions
Focused video breakdowns
Small group instruction = more personal feedback
Covers starts, turns, IM transitions, breakouts, and finishes
All work is done in Short Course Yards (SCY).

Private lessons are available only during Swim Stroke Camps 1, 2, & 3 and are offered to the first 40 to sign up for the lesson.
Cost: $110
Includes: One 45-minute private lesson with a camp coach or UGA swimmer
A digital and written report shared with the athlete and the parent
A digital photo with the Coach or Athlete
Eligibility: Campers 13 years of age or younger only
Doing Both Camps?
Many campers choose to attend both the Bulldog Stroke Camp and Starts & Turns Camp back-to-back.
If your camper is attending both:
They'll eat lunch and return to the dorms with staff (no check-out or check-in needed between camps)
Exception: If attending Starts & Turns 1 + Stoke Camp II, you must check them out overnight, as dorms close on the in-between night
Meals
All meals (except the first night) are served at UGA’s award-winning dining halls.
Campers love the food — it’s healthy, filling, and gives them the energy to swim strong.
Food Allergies
If your swimmer has a food allergy, please speak to a coach during check-in to ensure accommodations are made.
Communication
We communicate primarily by email until camp gets much closer
Please check the email address you used to register frequently for important updates and reminders.
